Privacy policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
This policy explains what mokaky collects when you join a waitlist on this site, why, and who helps us handle it. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Who we are
Mokaky, registered in Egypt is responsible for the personal data described here (the "controller"). Postal address: P.O. Box 12588, Sheikh Zayed City, Giza 12588, Egypt. Email: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join a waitlist.
- Your choices: the email consent box, and your Meta choice (the optional box, or the "Don't share my sign-up" link).
- Where you signed up: the page and any ad campaign labels in its link (for example
utm_campaign), so we know which page or ad you came from. - Technical data for the bot check: your IP address and browser details, used by Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated sign-ups.
We don't set advertising or analytics cookies on these pages, and we don't run the Meta Pixel.
Why, and on what basis
- Emails about our guides: with your consent (the required box). We first send one email asking you to confirm your address; we email you again only after you confirm.
- Telling Meta that a sign-up came from our ad: depends on where you are; see below.
- Stopping spam sign-ups: our legitimate interest in keeping the list free of bots.
Sharing your sign-up with Meta
When we share a sign-up, our server sends Meta a "Lead" event at the moment you sign up. It contains a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) copy of your email address, your IP address and browser type, your country, the page you signed up on, and Meta's ad click ID if you arrived from one of our ads. Meta uses it to match your sign-up to the ad you saw, so we can measure which ads work. Meta handles this data under its own terms and privacy policy. We work out where you are from your connection's country (and, in Canada, province), as reported by Cloudflare.
- In the United States, Australia, and Canada outside Quebec: we share it unless you opt out. The form says so, and its "Don't share my sign-up" link turns it off for your sign-up. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out. In US state privacy laws this may count as "sharing" for advertising; the link and the signal are how you opt out of it.
- In the UK, Ireland, Quebec and everywhere else: we share it only if you tick the optional Meta box. If you don't, nothing about your sign-up is sent to Meta.
The event is sent once, when you sign up. If you'd like it deleted afterwards, email us and we'll ask Meta to remove it where Meta lets us.
Who helps us
- Kit (kit.com): stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare (cloudflare.com): hosts this site, runs the sign-up form and the Turnstile bot check.
- ImprovMX (improvmx.com): forwards replies sent to our email address to our inbox.
- Meta (meta.com): receives the Lead event described above, under the rules for your region.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own data protection safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything done before). Email [email protected]. If you're in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll tell you by email first.
